Millersville University and Chester County Intermediate Unit(CCIU) are pleased to offer a Masters of Science in Technology and Innovation Graduate Degree Program for post-baccalaureate students.
Designed for working professionals and educators who want to take input from the world and make sound decisions.
Core Courses are delivered at CCIU. The remaining courses are delivered online. This program of study engages students with such universal and enduring concepts as creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, decision making, design thinking, and innovation.

The core courses in Technology & Innovation provide everyone in the program with a common body of knowledge. From there, you can select the program completion option and electives that will work best for you.
Course of Study

Fostering Creativity by Design
This course will expose students to the concept of how creativity, within the context of the technological world, is manifested through design.

Engineering Principles and Concepts for the Non-Engineer
The innovations and inventions of engineering design are vital toward enhancing the standards of living for humanity. In this course, which is intended for the non-engineer, students will learn what engineers do and how they do it.

Applying Critical Thinking and Decision Making
This course is an exploration of the nature and application of critical thinking toward acts of decision-making. Students will learn how to understand, facilitate, and practice the techniques of disciplined critical thinking and decision-making while avoiding the pitfalls of thinking traps such as biases and irrational tendencies.

Writing the Professional Paper
This course involves the development of competencies for identifying and developing graduate research topics and for publishing in professional literature with an emphasis on research methods, organization, and effective writing.

Fall/Spring terms the tuition and fees combined per credit hour are:
$679.50 – PA Resident Tuition and Fees Combined
$957.50 – Non-PA Resident Tuition and Fees CombinedComplete the program in 30, 33, or 36 credits depending on the degree completion option selected.
Winter/Summer terms the tuition and fees combined per credit hour are:
$582.50 – PA Resident Tuition and Fees Combined
$852.50 – Non-PA Resident Tuition and Fees CombinedIf a course is identified as a Summer Institute there is an additional one-time fee of $165 to defray the costs of guest speakers, meals, and resources that are commonly used with Summer Institutes.
Complete the program in 30, 33, or 36 credits depending on the degree completion option selected.
